What we can do is explain exactly what drives the cost up or down. That way, when you get quotes, you will understand where your money is going and where you have flexibility. With over 15 years of experience and thousands of completed projects, we know this inside out.
“How much do fitted wardrobes cost?” is one of the most common questions we hear. The honest answer is that every project is different — because every room is different, every customer’s storage needs are different, and the materials and finishes you choose make a real difference to the final price.
This is where many customers get caught out. A quote that looks competitive can become significantly more expensive when delivery, fitting, the design visit, or “making good” are added on separately.
When we quote, everything is included:
The price we quote is the price you pay. No hidden extras.
The most significant factor. A single wardrobe filling an alcove is a very different project to a full wall run across an entire bedroom. Adding additional sections increases materials and fitting time.
Sliding doors generally cost more than hinged doors because of the track system and precision engineering involved. Within sliding doors, the panel material matters: mirror and coloured glass (Lacobel) cost more than wood-effect finishes. We offer over 45 door styles and 25+ colours, so there is a wide range of options.
A straightforward setup with a hanging rail and shelf is the most affordable option. Adding pull-out trouser rails, Blum soft-close drawers, shoe racks, LED lighting, or pull-down rails for high sections increases the cost. The good news is you can always add internal accessories later if budget is tight now.
This is where it pays to ask questions. Our carcasses are 18mm MFC — a quality board built to last. There are cheaper, thinner alternatives that some companies use to bring the headline price down. The difference may not be obvious on day one, but it shows over time when shelves start to bow and fixings pull loose. All our hinges and runners are Blum — the best hardware in the world.
A straightforward rectangular room is the simplest job. Loft conversions with angled ceilings, alcoves either side of a chimney breast, or older properties where walls are not straight all require more design work and precision cutting. At Fox Wardrobes, we do not charge extra because your room is complex — it is simply part of what we do.

We are not going to pretend we are the cheapest option on the market. But we will explain what you get for your money and why it matters.
The large national brands typically work from a range of pre-designed components — standard widths, standard heights, standard depths. Their fitters adapt these on-site, adding filler panels where the standard sizes do not quite match. They call it “bespoke” but in our experience, the sizes are standardised and the fillers bridge the gaps.
We manufacture every single element from scratch. There are no standard sizes in our factory. Every panel, shelf and door is cut to your exact measurements. Where minimal fillers are needed, we keep them as small as possible to preserve your storage space.
We offer 0% finance spread over 12 months — no application forms, no fees, no hidden charges. Quality fitted wardrobes should work with your budget, not against it.

Standard fitted wardrobes use pre-made components in fixed sizes, adapted on-site with fillers. Bespoke means every element is manufactured from scratch to your room’s exact dimensions. We have no standard sizes in our factory — everything is built for one customer, one room.

Estate agents consistently say yes — especially in higher-value properties where buyers expect a premium finish. A well-designed bespoke wardrobe is a selling feature, and our guarantee is transferable.
