Built In Wardrobes Kent

Our customers invest significantly in their built-in wardrobes and dressing rooms because they understand the difference quality makes. At Fox Wardrobes, we design, manufacture and install every element from scratch in our Rochester factory.

Luxury Dressing Rooms, Designed and Built to the Highest Standard

A built-in wardrobe is one of the most rewarding investments you can make in your home. It changes how you start your day — instead of rummaging through a cramped wardrobe, you step into a dedicated space where everything has its place. Clothes are visible, accessible, and organised the way you think. The lighting is considered. The materials are premium. And the finish is something you enjoy every single morning.

How We Design a built-In Wardrobe

A built-in wardrobe is not just a room with rails in it. The design needs to work around your routine — how you get dressed, what you own, and how you want to feel when you use the space.

Lighting Makes the Difference

Integrated lighting transforms a built-in wardrobe from functional to luxurious. We design LED lighting into the wardrobe structure — strip lighting along hanging rails, shelf lighting that illuminates folded items, and motion-sensor options that switch on the moment you open the door or step into the room.

All our lighting is low-energy LED, professionally wired into the wardrobe with no visible cables. It is not stick-on strips from a hardware shop — it is designed as part of the wardrobe from the start.

The layout options include

We start by understanding how two people (if it is a shared space) use their wardrobes differently.

One might need long hanging for dresses and suits, the other might need more shelving and drawers. One might want shoes at eye level, the other might prefer them tucked away. We design each side individually.

storage along two walls, using all potential space

U-shaped

storage on three walls, maximising capacity in a larger room.

Yes — this is one of the most common requests we get. We can also partition a large master bedroom using a stud wall to create a separate dressing area. Our designers will assess your space and show you exactly what is achievable.

Good airflow helps keep clothes fresh. We can advise on ventilation options during the design visit. Doored walk-in wardrobes can incorporate discreet venting, while open-fronted designs naturally allow air circulation.

Both are popular. Doored walk-in wardrobes keep everything dust-free, protected and hidden — they stay immaculate whether open or closed. Open-fronted designs give a boutique feel where the interior becomes part of the room. Many customers choose a mix — doored sections for everyday storage, open shelving for display or frequently used items.

Walk-in wardrobes typically take 1–2 days depending on the size and complexity. Our employed fitting team handles everything — we lay clean dust sheets and leave your room ready to use.
